SkyActiv-G 2.5T Engine Problems and Reliability. The new Mazda 2.5-liter SkyActiv turbo engine is a relatively new engine, and there are no massive reports yet. Starting from the fact that the engine is based on SkyActiv-G 2.5 and shares many SkyActiv technologies, we can assume that there will be no serious problems with it.
BBR 240hp Turbo on Mazda 3 Skyactiv
Hi. I've talked with the BBR guys over e-mail related to the 240hp Turbo that is currently available for the MX5:
Dear ...,
Thanks for your email.
Unfortunately while all hardware is complete we do not have a software solution. EcuTek who have written the custom code required to run forced induction on the MX-5 ND do not believe there is a market for other Mazda SkyActiv G models. We would suggest emailing EcuTek along with anyone else interested in tuning their Mazda SkyActiv and asking EcuTek to support other Mazda models.
Do not hesitate to contact us should you have any further queries.
Kind regards,
Neil McKay

I just recently saw the turbo upgrade you guys did for the MX5.
Is there a plan in the near future to bring something like that to the Mazda 3?
How does the engine resist over time to such an upgrade? I am not a technical car person, but a friend kept nagging me that at that high air pressure ratio the engine would not resist too much to a turbo upgrade.
